Many of the homes in Loganlea are freestanding on larger than average lots. The suburb sits on mostly elevated land with weatherboard, brick and tile and hardiplank homes the most common. The area has many mature trees.

Loganlea is very popular with young families with about half the homes being owner-occupied. It is located near the Loganlea train station and Logan Motorway making commuting to the Brisbane CDB or the Gold Coast a viable option. The area has one primary and one secondary school with the Waterford Plaza being the largest retail outlet in the district.There are still plenty of green spaces to be found in Loganlea.
